A few rule reminders:😁

  • 15 minutes / 10 second increment.
  • Clocks start 7.30 – 7.45pm depending on set up. (you need to be there before 7.30pm to guarantee not to go into your default time.
  • Default time is 15 minutes.
  • Tournament director / arbiter will decide where the chess clock is placed.
  • If an illegal move is made the clock is to be stopped; illegal move corrected and noted.  Clock restarted.  Two illegal moves made and the game is lost. (If there is disagreement the clocks are to be stopped and that is the end of the game; only after the arbitor’s game has finished will he look at the disagreement – will evaluate the issue and award points appropriately)
  • Only the player whose clock is running is allowed to adjust the pieces.

  • Visitors.
